A resident with severe cognitive impairment and edema and another resident with CHF and other cardiac and neurologic diagnoses did not receive ordered compression therapy to both lower extremities, even though the TARs were coded as completed. Observations showed TED hose and TubiGrips were not visible on either resident, and a CNA stated one resident did not wear TubiGrips. The provider orders directed morning application and bedtime removal, and both care plans included the compression devices as ordered.
