A CNA-medication aide stated there were no bowls to use with soup and no microwave to heat it, and that this was a daily issue. On repeated observations over several days, the kitchenette remained empty of extra cups, bowls, coffee mugs, regular drinking cups, and assistive devices. The FSD acknowledged that the facility did not have enough assistive devices like Kennedy cups for between-meal and snack use, and later stated that bowls, cups, glasses, and built-up utensils seemed to go missing.

The facility policy on Adaptive Feeding Equipment stated dietary must be notified of adaptive equipment needs and ensure the equipment is placed on the tray at each meal.
