Resident 27, with intact cognition, was transferred to the hospital and did not receive any papers regarding the bed hold. The BOM stated that notifications were sent to the responsible parties, not the residents, and the cost per day was not explicitly written on the notifications. The Administrator confirmed that the bed hold policy was reviewed on admission, but the notifications upon hospital discharge did not include the daily room charges, which were communicated verbally.
