The administrator believed that the business manager was handling the notices, but this was not the case. The facility's policy stated that a bed would be held for the resident during their absence if the resident or responsible party agreed to pay the established base room rate, and that consent should be obtained within 48 hours of transfer. However, this policy was not followed, resulting in the deficiency.
