Resident 19 was transferred to the hospital twice, once due to right-sided weakness and once due to a fall with a head injury, and did not receive a copy of the bed hold policy on either occasion. The Assistant Nursing Home Administrator confirmed that the bed hold policy was not provided for these transfers. The Nursing Home Administrator indicated that it is expected for nurses to provide a copy of the facility's bed hold policy and transfer form when a resident is transferred to the hospital. However, this expectation was not met in these cases, leading to the deficiency.
