Summary

The facility failed to store, prepare, distribute, and serve food under sanitary conditions in the kitchen reviewed for food and nutrition services. On 03/31/2026 at 6:49 AM, the three-door refrigerator contained three trays of red juice and water that were not covered, labeled, or dated. The refrigerator also contained an open, uncovered, and undated can of soda, and two trays of cut fruit in bowls that were covered but not labeled or dated. On 03/31/2026 at 6:52 AM, the three-door freezer contained an open, undated box and a partially opened bag of frozen fish filets exposed to air, as well as a partially opened, undated box of green beans exposed to air. The freezer also contained an undated, unlabeled, and uncovered bowl of ice cream with a disposable spoon in it. The Dietary Aide stated all items in the kitchen were required to be dated and labeled, frozen items were supposed to be covered when opened, and employee personal food should not be kept in the refrigerator or freezer. The Dietary Manager stated the policy was to label and date items placed in the refrigerator and freezer, and acknowledged the trays of juice and cut fruit were placed in the refrigerator just prior to inspection and dated after observation.
