Specifically, the Director of Food and Nutrition Services (DM) did not possess the necessary certification, education, or qualifications for the position. Record review showed the DM was hired without the required certification, and both the DM and the Administrator confirmed during interviews that the DM was not certified as a food services manager at the time of the survey. The Administrator acknowledged awareness of the certification requirement and prior citation for this deficiency, but allowed the DM to continue in the role while enrolled in an educational program to obtain certification.
