Staff A, the Administrator, and Staff D, the Social Service Director, both acknowledged the expectation that bed-hold notifications should be provided in a timely manner, either at the time of transfer or shortly thereafter. Despite these expectations, the absence of documentation for both residents indicates a failure to comply with the facility's policy, potentially leaving residents and their representatives uninformed about their rights and the costs associated with holding a bed during hospitalization.
